Company History

In 1966, the firm was established by Tom and Betty Nelson and traded as TA & B Nelson, servicing the northern areas of Sydney. It did not take long for the business to grow and be known for its emphasis in providing quality electrical services.

In 1978, the business changed its name to T.N. Electrical Pty Ltd with Tom Nelson becoming Managing Director. Tom is well known in the industry for his dedication to the electrical trade, and has had a long term relationship with the Electrical Contractors Association, being the Northern Suburbs Branch Secretary for some 14 years. In 1986, Tom was presented with the Pride of Workmanship Award by the Rotary Club organisation. This award is testament to our founder's belief that:

"It's not worth doing if it's not done right!"

The family tradition continues with John Nelson now running the company. As an apprentice, John gained third place in the NSW Apprentice of the Year Award in 1987. He holds an electrician's qualified supervisors certificate with endorsements for restricted water plumbing, along with ACA and Security Industry Licence for Data, Telephone and Alarm Installations, and Authorisation with Energy Australia for Metering and Mains installation.
